Students will investigate the current volatility in the marketplace , and the need for agile supply chains where supplier and customer teams explore opportunities for realigning processes. They will research the importance of adopting the triple bottom line, i.e. planet, people and profit, to ensure the long-term success of the business and future well-being of society in line with the UN’s SDG 12. This module aims to provide a foundation for students to develop their understanding of marketing research methods for academic and professional purposes. The range of perspectives in project management studies are analysed both in theory and in practice. The application of theories is enhanced through the use of case study examples in the public, private and third sectors, encompassing an analysis of project management in a range of organisational structures. Emphasis on knowledge in this area is extended further to the criticality of the project manager’s skills in managing the range of both internal and external stakeholders. As such, this module will draw and build on student’s knowledge previously acquired through responsible leadership, entrepreneurial, finance and people management modules.
